The Slow Mirror
gazing at your shadow
slowly moving
each particle of you show
dancing in the dark
gradually catching the light -
the light wrapping you
sipping outside
sliding away...
your faded guitar
through the spaces behind
blends in the night.
i stare -
at the semblance of you
half dark half blue
as you get blinded by the glare
a spot hang over
between our superficial worlds.
with slow perception
i dive into the distance
and dare to create the voyage of the twilight
and we journey through
endless walks
battled by words and talks
as we roam in the presence of reality
draging the sunset in our pockets.
you cloathe me
with your warm persistence
as my rationality
leave this three dimensional world
and blend in with yours.

As Elton John said, "It's two hearts living in two separate worlds."
i stare -
at the semblance of you
half dark half blue
paints a lovely picture in the mind
Love the poem. It has a crisp quality to it. It reminds me of a night where it is just cold enough to feel a chill in the air and dew is all around. Lovely images.
Come visit sometime and we can compare styles.

*sighs* I just love this poem. I hope you don't mind, I want to copy this into my scrapbook. (I also want to use a screen shot of your blog for the graphic.) Simply beautiful.
Thanks for the comment on my short story. I am starting a long story as well, I'd love to have your opinion on. www.lastrequest.blogspot.com
As usual, Velvet, you have a way with words.
wow sis panalo talaga isa ka sa idol ko na manunulat.
TB54... strange, you said the same thing at my moogie blog. lol. 8)
The House of Design... indeed a poem about two separate worlds. although i dont actually listen to Elton who?
Brood Mode, Batts... placing a picture of a person*.* or place in mind and describing the moment these thoughts enter one's consciousness, i guess thats how the beauty in poetry works. it paints a vivid picture, probably the same or different from the author and the reader's point of view.
Ragdoll... thanks! and its fine with me if you place my poem to your scrapbook. actually, its flattering. 8) ive already saved your story and gonna read it tonight. let you know soon as im done.
And if anyone likes to incorporate my work with theirs, just let me know and i would love to see your works as well. hehe *winks at ladywhitespirit...
