    Lens Day: Architecture

A pedestal is as much a prison
as any small, confined space. - Gloria Steinem

Just a thought: Funny how the majority tend to secretly condemn those on a pedestal and commend them right in front. They just do not know how hard it is to stay there. Especially for someone who can't reach down as much as he wished he could.

    Photo Friday: Sentimental

    Lost by the wind's invisibility

    consumed by sorrow
    in a different plane
    to places unknown
    constantly in a monotone
    yearning for heights again
    in the brink of fright
    and invulnerability

    up in a muzzle
    clinched, tied, twisted,
    shivering as flown
    ablaze by the fume
    of the fraudulent illusion
    of holding back that thought
    while in deep motion

    thus losing myself
    in the deception of truth
    mocking the steadfast redemption;
    will I be ruined
    as I devotiously cascade
    the horizon’s silvertone
or would I just melt away?

    stretching frail reason
    delusive and vague
as the wind deliberately sweep me
    into its absorbing compassion
    increasing and increasing
and in abrupt pause I ignite
    in the presence of nothing…

note: updated the perfect image for this entry.. [best viewed large]

i posted this poem last friday and as i was traveling yesterday, i chanced upon this melancholic scenery. so i took my digicam and made the scene permanently available.

it's just so rare to see such beautiful cloud formations, add the leafless tree which resembles how i currently feel..

    Photo Friday: Addiction

yes, this is my addiction. randomly moving my camera in slow shutter to create trail lines from scarcely available light. Sometimes I use artificial light, like LEDs and my mobile phone, sometimes thru the limited sunlight beaming through my reddish curtains. and sometimes making use of a mirror for that too.

and now my addiction moved one step further, as i use my ever-reliable MS paint. for those who have seen my previous entries for illustration friday, 85-90% of the time, i use MS paint. it was only in my recent entries that I posted my light paintings.

i know this is photo Friday indeed. but here, i took a photo of my PC’s monitor after painting some lines on MS paint. and all lights off.

    Illo Friday: Wired

    The Fall

i took no chances but held my ground
trying to reach up i fall about
there's two sections in an inter-cross state
one was to get you high one was to shake
a thousandth time i gave my page
the higher you rise the deeper you crash
so go on straight or up a little
but remember to not let go
from the fine line of your title.
