Illo Friday: Empty
with open eyes.. everything is empty...
closing them makes no difference...
..i need to see you...
-----
note: i almost thought of not making an illo this week but i can't let pass the topic. and when i started making one i just cant stop making the series.
i know this comes late for the week.. actualy posted this minutes before IF announce a new theme. i just cant decide on the colors...
16 Park your thoughts here:
I like the series and good job ont he perspective! It is funny that we both did rooms.
Makes me think of Alice through the Looking Glass. Great illustration!
joanne... sometimes the choice of topic reflects the innermost thoughts. and in your room you were looking from the outside-in and in mine, i was looking from the inside-out.
i had to run thru many ideas before landing on this one. and actually, i made other versions but these two i liked best so i posted it.
aravisarwen.. i like writing your name.. it has an exotic feel. anyway, come to think of it, yes it reminds me of Alice too (Alice in Wonderland).
Many Empty Rooms this week but I like yours best. The perspective gives empty a twist, a sharp tug, a reminder that things unseen do not exist.
Thanks for your kind comments on my Illo. My first one and I am looking forward to the next challenge.
...Mick...
thanks mick.. ohh... but there are many? havent seen the earlier contributions yet.
and yes, i have to remind myself of that too sometimes.
Reminds me of the old Tom Petty video with the Alice & Wonderland theme... what in blue blazes was that song anyway?
I like the black and white version better. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland too. Good job.
I like the second but differ from Mick's view in that things unseen DO exist.
IF have posted a new theme already? They didn't tell me :(
cannot leave some comments earlier, some problems....anyway, i thought the red color is chinese inspired...i like them both!
seems you just woke up, you are 6 or 7 hours ahead my dear! you did not post your entry in the last minute.
best regards.
kind of scary for me.. good idea! It reminds me Alice & Wonderland too ...
tony.. hmm.. think i dont know that song... and Tom Petty?! lol ...
jerry.. actually, there are other versions.. i even played on with the colors and made one with reggae colors! haa! 8D but yes, i liked the b&w better. the red one places a bloody feeling tho. maybe of hate? hmm... well, its up to the ones looking at it tho.
anonymous.. hee.. as of writing this comment IF have not yet announced the new topic. and well i guess sometimes people tend to wish on things they do not see, to be real. even if sometimes what we even see may not be as real as what it seemed.
isay.. ohh 7 times zones apart.. hehe guess so. the Ph sunrise always comes earlier then most, makes me wonder tho how can i stand not sleeping for almost 2 days now.. lol. 8)
nuray-tulipland.. ohh land of tulips... i like your cute illustrations.. and hmm.. a blank profile? makes me wonder about where you live..
well a touch of Alice in Wonderland indeed.. maybe i was thinking of the Stereolab song Moogie Wonderland too... *.*
Thanks for the birthday wishes. You have some really cool photos, too bad my work computer has a messed up video card so I can't see them correctly. When I get my home ISP working again, I'll have to check them out. Thanks again!!
holly.. yeah another year for us, another august 8) oh, and hope your ISP works soon.. tssk mine has probs tho, too long to load my blog ... havin only 56k connection... 8( maybe a gift for myself ..dsl! haa 8D
Anyone who's ever truly felt lonely knows that loneliness IS the colour grey.
thanks for sharing that thought Ash. and i guess some people may see it that way. some people may see other colors.
perhaps "feeling blue" could stand for its meaning too. the chinese use the color red for lament, although in my culture, wearing red in a funeral isnt appropriate, more accepted are of black or white.
