    Illo Friday: Communicate

"A woman can say more in a sigh
than a man can say in a sermon"

    - Arnold Haultain

    "The Wrrrath of HellcatAtomicVelvetSigh"
    MS Paint
    (orig. 650 x 770)

this 15-minute collage is a result of a mixture of insomnia, skipping lunch and dinner, listening to Ride's songs "Dreams Burn Down", "Decay" and "Paralysed" within the dark confines of a room with no internet connection and uncharged mobile phone at the dead time of unwaking in surreal dreams..

and they said im a strange guerrrrrl.. hey now, am i?

    Lens Day challenge: Triptych

"the morality of art consists in the perfect use
    of an imperfect medium.
    " - Oscar Wilde

left hand   |   hold my hand, i shall follow   |   right hand

A triptych is a work of art which is divided into three sections which are collected together. The central panel is the most important one, and this is flanked on either side by two lesser but related images. The whole is intended to be greater than the sum of the parts.

This is my entry for this week's Lens Day Challenge.

Just to share, i took these shots using the only available light in my room, one mid-afternoon.. the sunlight reflected by a mirror and my mobile phone. and with the help of my red curtains, navy blue ceiling and walls, these features seemed to unintentionally add to the effect.

    Illo Friday: Gravity

what does one need to shoot a perfect picture? the proper balance of gravity, stillness and light.

so, what is the result of improper balance of gravity, stillness and light? a classic example of camera painting..

And what does one need to not be kicked-out of the (seven) circles of Hellcat? The improper balance of rationality, creativity, TIME and the right sharpness of one's fangs!

    bwahaha..

    Lens Day: Light

Love of mine some day you will die
    But I'll be close behind
I'll follow you into the dark

No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark
    If heaven and hell decide
    That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you
    When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark...

    Illo Friday: Sprout

    She shot him down

she wakes up with the sun beaming to her eye
a heat cluttered stuck to her brain
    spinning her head to unmemory
    brink of blindness unsustained

    digging back from her yesterday
forcing to remember what words were said
still nothing - as far as she can see
from the ten thousand scenes that twisted

a sudden spring of image clicked to her
from going back and forth and rewind
a shadow that made her laugh but not smile
    is this the one?

she didn’t care where he’s been
and don’t care what he plans to do
a fool’s numbness sprouted and lingered
as they both let the day pass too

she waited for that moment that never came
and all her patience came burning
so time has sent the signal to halt
and she knows he always had it coming..

note: Oh, was i listening too much to Stone Roses or not? lol..
a poem to pay tribute to Feb 2nd.. and the camera painting entry for illo friday..
