This is the refuge of my thoughts on the complexities of the human mind. And in all the four corners surrounding me, lies the perils of loneliness and desperation, pent up rage and forbidden obsessions. Sort of...
Location: Holland, in my mind... hehe ok, I'm from Manila, Philippines
Heavenly...
Fading night
Fading light
Glow in the dusk
Black velet sky
Hide behind the clouds
No stars in sight
Peep by the distance
Flickering flight
Overcast shadow
Gloomy yet bright
And I see…
And I fade…
velvet, I like that this was b&w. It added to the overall atmosphere of the piece I think. Great detail work, and the poem blended seamlessly. Really great work.
Anonymous.. not the real "Anonymous" from IF.. well, sorry to disappoint you. maybe that was my purpose.. go visit someone else's to suit your taste then. thanks for sharing your thought tho };-p
now to respond to the real artists...
Aravis.. thanks for the nice comment 8) b&w indeed meant how these images are not looked at, that it seemed to blend with the shadow of the city. most people seem to care about what they only see, and its bothering sometimes how people only take notice others when a big news event have focused them. (like typhoon tragedies in the US) things like these happen often in 'remote' areas too, but only a few take notice.
isay.. thanks! 8) your illo was also nice. mine is a li'l late entry tho.. as i checked now, IF had launched a new theme.
ohh gee.. busy busy days indeed here.. too bad its almost always raining during this time of the year. makes it doubly hard going to cemeteries. and i guess this year, im off to visit 4, in diff locations. and im about to go today for the first 8)
This is the Real Anonymous };-} I also love the black and white used for this illustration - I think it would look wonderful as large as a feature wall in a public place ... it would give extra resonance as 'remote' also!
I am envious you are visiting cemetries! Have a wonderful time !!
Ambres.. hmmmm thanks sweetie! for you i could send a great big canvas! heeee
Anonymous.. ohh great idea 8) what would be so grand as to see one's actual work full sized on display right?! that would be the day!
btw, just had only short trips to the cemetaries. its more of a solemn visit.. lighting
candles and sharing stories with relatives about the dead (or the ones burried).. hehe tho fun to fly kites too (if only it didnt rain alot)
easywriter, Billy.. thanks for visiting and for your nice comments 8)
Sen.. ohh you should try it! fun part is not only you get to have another outlet of your creative energies.. you get to meet lots of great artists too and nice ones at that 8) [erm.. still eyeing that Anonymous comment hehe] And oh, have another reason to stay infront of the pc more tho. *lol

You do have a point, the stricken ones are well hidden beneath and from a distance you don't see them at all. They are forgotten. I love the illo -- you brought the hidden out and put the usually boasted beauty far in the background -- I think it's effective.
liz.. yeah, maybe im just affected at what i see everyday.. how people boast about what they have, acting like the society has no problem, without even thinking that there are people who suffer. Society is therefore unjust, because people make it unjust.
hee.. getting carried away there.. lol Well, thanks for droppin by 8)
