Illo Friday: Float
Space Tranced
Capsules of time
burried through thunderbolts
as the jealous sun loom over us
in the distance i hear
chilled by the racing clouds
my damp window
moistened by the whisp of the sky
and i hear them now crashing
wild cries of the wind
and the rooftops a'wailing
wanting to break away
set free and fly
the sun now runs hiding
as big blocks come as a surprise
rolling over
in the nimbus of his eyes
we lay there be-stilled
comouflaged on the ground
beneath the swishing
and growling
and spins
we remain entangled;
entwined.
holding on -
to your invisible hand
as the wind carries us away
in circles we go
losing our grip we fly
will we ever land
on the same ground?
i dont know.
let the air separate
let the sun dictate
as we now both float and wait...

it amazes me how you can put words together to make a beautiful poem.

I'm happy that you did post it. Beautiful image portrayed through your words.
The spiralling words really add a lot to this - they took me completely by surprise!

i especially love this part
"my damp window
moistened by the whisp of the sky"
Beautiful beginning,

This illo is really funky and different. I like that.
There's such powerful imagery in your poetry, and this is no exception. You're adept at painting pictures with your words as well as with your hands.
