Illo Friday: Cold
Without Stopping
into her stillness
she came - silent
as she listened
to her shadows stalking her every step
and it came
from beyond the void
appearing in front of her
gradually foggin her clear concept
and again
she shut her eyes
only to see it unobscured
and it ram her heartbeat in two
and she ache
with every sun shining
with every empty morning
blank eyesights of chilled reflection
but she danced
with the wind's hurl
thinking that this flight
will be the transition
chasing the breath out of her
so in coldness
astonished by the fume
a wide gazing length
the faint light freeze-dried her
and she came crawling
as the shadows
reappear again
But even in its softness
can she swiftly glide away?
with no looking back
unheard of,
unspoken?

This is very eerie and chilly ... all those remote eyes. I can feel her breath being chased down, down to where the shadows should sleep ...
wow.
the textures are fantastic, and the chill in those eyes.
wow.
so cold
(but there is warmth behind it)
Anonymous.. sometimes those eyes haunt me.. especially when im alone. and it's draining trying to run away from them tho.
Catnapping.. hee, thanks. too bad i didnt post it earlier to go with the week's flow. anyway it was strangely and disturbingly fun to do, glad you like it 8)
floots.. shiveringg...wanna light a bonfire for me? lol ;P
This is really creepy and disturbing in a spiritual kind of way - a bit like the dry riverbed that is the afterworld in Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea books. Excellent use of colour and texture - those eyes take a while to emerge!
Ian.. yeah, bit twisted side of me tho.. lol... and oh, im not familiar with Ursula Le Guin, but i read somewhere she wrote Tales from Earthsea, bit science fiction.. but a winner of the National Book Award, i recon must be a great book 8) glad you like my illo too..
Eerie and fascinating. Nice, I liked it very much. It's the eyes and the ambience of the entire piece.
hee.. well i have this thing for eyes staring.. hehe.. but thanks for sharing your thoughts on this, easywriter 8)
