Illo Friday: Rejection
is to have your ideas
either rejected or stolen.
"we are our own blackhole"
MS Paint + Picassa
(orig. 590 x 720)
Have you ever had that idea that creeps thru your head and makes you proud to think nobody ever thought of it before you? like a painting you've been wanting to do, or an invention you've been wanting to create... and you never told anyone because you haven't done it yet.
what if, suddenly one unexpected day.. you glance upon a store in a mall.. and wala! your idea or concept have materialized right before your very eyes!
tragic, isn't it?
13 Park your thoughts here:
i am my own black hole, and that's a fact. but that's what goddess made chocolate for.
it's cheaper than committing myself to the looney bin.
and i heard the looney bin is not sassy enough to serve chocolates..
I hate whan that happens. yet, at least the copying thing can be kind of flattering. Still, at least they should give credit where it's due. In the meantime, great. vibrant piece here!
I love this!
And being in the advertising design business, I had that happen to me several times. It's very flattering, actually. :-)
And if you want the drawing, send some pics!
steve and rrramone.. ha! yeah it could be flattering indeed.. but what if it was your idea first that never really materalized until someone did it first? well i guess some minds think alike..
kinda happened to me with this painting.. i have this thought for years but never really painted it, until i saw a resto with this design on the wall! gee..
Tsk! Tsk!
Too bad!
o my.. why is blogger in tagalog? "ayon kay..." "Iwan ang inyong komentaryo"?
james.. yeah but it's ok.. i guess that's what you call life.. };-}
well your work is unique to me
if i knew who stole it i would pinch his leg until he cried
(i thought shooting was going too far) :)
cheers
haha i wasnt able to get what he signed on his oil painting btw.. *sigh* (or was it a her)
anyway it was nice.. it wasnt exactly the same tho and id still plan on making this on canvas myself. 8)
like ur setup and play with colors
ohh.. thanks! 8D
Oh this Internet makes everything easy to steal for the con-artists. With us posting our work, how many people copy our ideas?
yeah i know the risk to that.. its actually same as having your actually painting on sale; on display (and yet nobody buys) in a mall or shop..
but if you wouldn't show your talent.. nobody will ever know..
