Illo Friday: Speed
When time stops
slow paces have come between
the sunset and time
any movement is a memory
that engraves itself on sand
a fast race of motion
one have no power to control
lost in a new dimension
holding on to one's own soul
tracing the sands that linger
that was blown off by the wind
is one alone in the struggle
of a hollow tone, a half beat?
she cried to the endless sky
to fast forward to a certain time
when there are no more transcendance
when solitude is not being alone
then fearlessly they stepped forward
in lightspeed be blown
as sacrifices be waged
and when time stops -
it shall gather no past
it shall gather no age.

i feel like posting on a tuesday is so late for illo friday now. with all the 400+ entries.. how will we ever see them all? 8) hope you all like my entry anyway.. for those who chanced upon landing here...
Time forgot about this place I think, a beautiful blue moment out of time.
The poem is great with this.
sometimes time makes us forget things.. in this way time controls us. it takes a big leap to make ourselves hold on and control time itself. hmm.. sometimes i wish i had that courage.
btw, thanks for dropping by.. and that thought ^ hmm think i just lack sleep.. 8)
Now *this* is velvety! ~ but in a good way!
ha! lol 8)
a deep poem that reminds me of reality
yeah, we are all escaping from that from time to time.. *sigh*
Love that poem! Inspiring.
Beautiful!! The texture is fantastic...almost looks like stained glass. Awesome poem!
thanks willie and txartcgal! this illo and poem is just so special and meaningful to me.. btw, the last 2 illos i made are places that i want to be..
grabe pano mo nagawa yan..na-frustrate ako! galing mo talaga! Iba ka pre..san ka ba nagmula?
i like the poem esp that part-she cried to the endless sky........
ohhh yah - miss the nipa hut and the coconut trees and sunrise and sunset. i like the yellowish color coming out from the blue background.
have a peaceful holy week.
Very beautiful...a good case for slowing time down!
it shall gather no past
it shall gather no age
i shall hang on to that thought
love the pic too
i could do with a break (and a bottle of bacardi) there :)
.. thanks isay! glad you like them.. and oh, miss them too! actually i am not able to go on a vacation this holy week. we used to go to the beach or a resort, but my work requires us to do overtime again. geesh.. what can i do? i think our clients are non-catholics.. hmp!
carla.. thanks! and sometimes i do hope i can control time..
floots.. ha! i actually searched for what a "bacardi" is.. "The drink is very dangerous, as it involves blowing a fireball over a row of shotglasses, and has thus been banned in many bars and restaurants." interesting... but indeed a nice shot of it while on this beach...
freedom pad.. nakakatawa ka naman! MS Paint lang po. cige turuan kita.. pero ayusin mo muna speed ng PC connection mo. kala ko mabagal na tong sakin.. meron pa pala.
my frustration urges when ur creativity works...o blessed one!be it done unto thee.
Country Girl Iha.. silly girl! you finally visited huh.. well thanks for that.. and lol 'blessed one' hmm..
we will always be alone in our soltitude but ... how i wish that time can be likened to a voyage that can be traveled back and forth...
i like your poem ....
i actually lost count with the number of comments you have placed just in one day and its such a great feeling having been read..
and yeah, as you mention if only time can be traveled back and forth, how i wish the same..
