Illo Friday: Free
Free Your Mind!
. | (detailed lines excluded from original) |
i await
thru the dying night
your eternal shadow
that looms within no light
settling to the ivory
of your tampered embrace
i live with the satisfaction
of not seeing
but being
but feeling..
thru warm breezes
that occupy the mind
silent steps
of invisibility
i torment
i decline
for time i cannot wait
and time have consumed
this concurrent faith
an eon of separation
and the distance
one could not forbear
is this our veto?
is this our fate?
a reparation through time
that no one can dictate?
and so i search for your touch
through the sleep of death
that Olympus had enough
they set you free
to bestow upon us
an awakening
celestially combined
with an endless beginning
that need not any word
just the presence,
just mere existence,
ceasless
evolving
immortal.

story behind the illo: pure coincidence. after tampering with one of my latest photos, i ended up seeing images beyond what was originally visible. edited thru picassa.
story behind Eros and Psyche: there are countless interpretations and versions of their story. and i applied mine with the vision of being in one of their shoes, dabbing some personal notes. for those who wanna read more, here's a summary other than wikipedia. Story included in The Golden Ass by Apuleius. Which reminded me to add this to my wishlist.
last note: oops.. decided this is better suited for the topic "Free" at It's a late entry at Strength anyway. Pls click image for better view.
Do you see what i see?
21 Park your thoughts here:
It took me a little while to see it, but now I do! This is a really cool idea. Love it!
thanks for dropping by, artghost. 8) well im thinking if i should do more of this in the future. btw, i decided to change the title, feel more comfy to place this under "free". and hmm.. an early entry for me this week!
Nice twist on Eros and Psyche with a whole new structure eh bien? And the artwork as usual, is beautiful...You must teach me sometime lol...
I can see what you see, but see other things too!! Teehee - we did the same but back to front ... lines first, colour making images later for mine:)
aristocrat.. hehe thanks, and lol where do we start? hmm.. maybe collaborate on a project? lol..
anonymous.. yeah i still see other things.. but just left one mark to bestir others' interpretations. so, what do you see?
Excellent editing of the picture. I like your interpretation in the poem.
.. thanks. im just as fascinated with Psyche's story. and the photo was an outcome of staring too much on one object.. and running away from my NaNo. lol..

oh wow sure! 8D thanks for the info and invite!
I see some skulls, a platypus and a tadpole. Very organic!!
I 'zoomed' right into 'Eros and Psyche'. I love this entry. I often find myself finding pictures in the patterns around me, and I I love their 'story'!
and i salute you.
Collaborate? Lol...You are supposed to be my teacher!
anonymous.. haha.. a platypus!! lol..
Art is made to disturb. Science reassures. There is only one valuable thing in art: the thing you cannot explain. - Georges Braque
tho wish others would say what they see too..
ragdoll.. mm ragdoll.. theirs is a story both enthralling and fascinating indeed.
billy.. 8)
aristocrat.. ohh learning is a neverending process.. so i guess i need a teacher too. lol..
thanks Graham 8) and for dropping by..
I can't explain the platypus but they can be very disturbing and the ones with duck bills - like this one have poison in the spikes of their hind legs!
I find it kind of hard to my eyes all the background you have.
anyway, thanks for dropping the site. I see you have some really cool stuff here. And nice to see blogs that shares some of my passion. Im basically a dead poet. I don't scribble the way i used to be nowadays.
It seems that you like the Netherlands very much. Why? Maybe your heart is in there kept somewhere? Your Adonis perhaps?
Where in Phils are you?
grabeh ang tindi.isa ka sa mga idol ko pagaling ka na ng pagaling apaw! :)
anonymous.. lol.. nice that you can see that! eh ever seen the tiger? or kinda looked like a wild cat to me. well that's among what i see besides the skulls. tskk.. maybe its just in our heads.. };-}
rey villegas.. first, your name sounds familiar. hmm.. u from Batangas by any chance?
second, im working on a new background, and theme. it seems that in other computers and browsers escept for Mozilla, the images, sizes and fonts vary. slow servers especially suffer late appearance of the post body background. in the meantime, i placed a new bg for y'all.
and about The Netherlands.. hmm..*.*
