B&W Photo Challenge: Religion
in the abyss of forsaken thoughts
i once lived.
swam in emtpiness
and devoured hatred.
i cling to endless hopes
arid oceans
and unsparing deceit.
and somewhere within
a faint light and complete darkness
i scream.
in the struggle of undrowning myself
i lost grip.
for a long time
i was denched in sorrow
dying, desperate
to seek release,
to undauntedly leave,
to see that there's something more...
now i stop -
to recall that interim
when i forgot to look up
and dream.

Wonderful photo, atmospheric and moody. The poem resonates with me as well. You're as talented at creating imagery with words as you are at capturing it on film or in your illustrations. I really like the final line; it reminds me that I may have forgotten to look up and dream, too.
oh yes
never stop dreaming
aravis.. thanks, i must say that inspiration is just around us, one does not have to look for it, we just have to see thru a different perspective.
floots.. yes, and dreams will never leave me now, unless they become reality. 8)
